In order to serve the needs of international students, we must first be available and flexible with our schedules, especially in a “hustle culture” that is more individualistic and places a high value on time. Our methods of serving internationals are based heavily on flexibility, availability, intentionality, and vulnerability, willing to be transparent with them to encourage them to be real with us in return. We understand that the needs of international students and their families may change over time or vary between locations or campuses. Our decision-making process is governed by our God-given task to love and accept the diverse, international community. We make it our goal to be culturally sensitive and aware of the needs around us, willing to adapt and change our response to emerging needs and challenges as they arise.
Family Away From Home
We create a warm and welcoming environment for international students, organizing regular events and gatherings where they can connect with one another and build strong friendships.
Our mentorship program pairs international students with experienced mentors from our staff, offering guidance and support as they navigate life in a new country.
We offer a 1 to 2-year internship program that trains and equips individuals or couples to carry out our mission on other college campuses. Through this program, we hope to expand our reach and bring our unique approach to more international students across the United States.
